Senior CICS Engineer Glasgow (Remote) £479 p/d Our client is looking for an experienced CICS engineer, to help plan and manage the IBM Mainframe upgrade, ensuring hardware performance, OS upkeep, and 3rd party software maintenance. Our team supports CICS and MQ for Mainframe applications.  What You'll Do Plan and deliver CICS environment upgrades. Collaborate with Change and Project Management for smooth implementation. Enhance CICS security, resiliency, and operational efficiency. Identify, assess, and communicate technical risks. Resolve incidents and optimize the CICS setup. Key skills Strong knowledge of CICS resilience, security, and operability. Proven experience planning and executing upgrades. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers through the development process, offering technical support and expertise. Coordinate with architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions. Work closely with project managers and business analysts to ensure the development aligns with business requirements and timelines. Manage the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) independently, from design and development to testing and deployment. Act as the main point of contact for the development team, ensuring open communication channels with all stakeholders.
