Job Title: SDE2 Job Description Over the past 12 months, our teams have supported the Selection Catalogue ecosystem as a managed services partner with practice support. We have aligned our three existing scrum teams with core technical teams to support the Legacy migration of services to a new platform, which includes deprecating technologies such as Perl and re-writing services in modern technologies. Following a successful initial engagement, we require two additional engineers to join our teams and begin the next phase of our recently agreed extension. Starting in March, our teams will be aligned with three new Legacy migration projects, following last year's core technical stack with additional needs for Python and other relevant skills. Responsibilities Collaborate with existing scrum teams to support Legacy migration projects. Deprecate older technologies such as Perl and re-write services using modern technologies. Utilise core technical stack and additional technologies such as Python to complete migration projects. Adapt to team rotations to plug skill gaps as needed. Support highly distributed systems in an enterprise environment. Work within CI/CD environments from a cloud setting (eg, EC2, S3). Essential Skills Extensive experience with modern development technologies (5 years+). Proficiency in Python (2 years+). Experience with Spring framework. Strong knowledge of SQL. Experience with AWS services. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Perl. Background in supporting highly distributed systems in enterprise environments.
