Civil Design Engineer | 6 months Outside IR35 | 3x WFH - 2 days in office Key Responsibilities: Leading civil engineering design capability team, specifically on large scale electrical projects (BESS, Solar PV) Develop civil deliverables including layout, outline design drawings, constructability assessment, risk assessment, and project programme. Produce outline work package and scope of work document for contractor to provide pricing. Prepare project capital cost, energy savings calculations and financial evaluations. Liaise with client stakeholders and attend regular client project meetings. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of entire project terms and technical requirements. Assist in improving operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Deliver other duties as required Minimum Qualifications: Engineering degree, or equivalent preferably in Civil or Structural engineering Achieved or working towards chartered engineer status. Strong understanding of engineering principles associated with civil engineering design. Demonstrated lead development skills including the ability to building project scopes and assess the constructability of systems. Electrical Engineer | Bristol, Ad hoc travel | Outside IR35 I am on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer who can be involved in LV through to 132kV. The role will involve working as part of a team to Review Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Contestable Connection Offers and completing designs that conform to the relevant DNO policies, British and IEC standards. Day to day: Produce the following reports/drawings: The design and conceptual design of both the grid connection and private network infrastructure from LV up to and including 132kV. Cable sizing studies. Switchgear selection and specification. Transformer selection and specification. CT and VT sizing studies. Battery Charger sizing studies. Small Power and Lighting Design. Control room/Switchroom layout design. Produce designs that follow EP policies, UK standards and legislation, DNO/IDNO policies and employer's requirements Responsible for the issue of the deliverables in line with the project program Working on multiple projects simultaneously Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering AutoCAD experience. Experience in Contracting/Consulting or working with IDNO's, DNO's or ICP's. HV/EHV experience. Working to BSEN, IEC,IEEE & CENELEC Standards. Secondary Design Engineer | Bristol, Ad hoc travel | Outside IR35 I am looking for a Secondary Design Engineer on 6 month basis to join a known Renewable Energy business who can come in and work on projects up to 132kV. You will also be required to assist in the conceptual design of various types of energy projects, principally Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage System facilities. Design: Development of Conceptual secondary designs up to 132kV (Contestable and Private Networks) Development of detailed secondary designs up to 132kV (Contestable and Private Networks) AC/DC Schematics General Arrangements Wiring Diagrams Interconnection diagrams Cable Block Diagrams Cable Schedules Core Sheets Development of standard secondary design schemes for 33/66/132kV systems. Development of Bill of Materials to be issued to Panel Manufacturers. Support Panel Manufacturers queries. Support on site Secondary Design issues - Red/Green markup drawings. Produce full suite of As Built Secondary Design drawings Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in secondary design EHV substation project design experience up to 132kv AutoCAD Excellent knowledge of all published guidelines, ENA standards, policies and procedures, from national and international standards to DNO and EP policies, to ensure satisfactory delivery of work A sound knowledge of engineering design principles.
