Infrastructure Architect Job Title: Infrastructure Architect Location: Remote (travel to head office/sites) as and when required Salary: £80,000 My client, a leading healthcare provider are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Architect to join their growing team. As an Infrastructure Architect, you'll lead the strategic design and implementation of cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions across my client's national network, ensuring they meet the needs of both clinical and corporate functions. Working within our Architecture and IT Technical Solutions Team, you will collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Security, Corporate Teams, and managed service partners to design, integrate, and secure IT services that support day-to-day operations. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including Microsoft Azure, network infrastructure, server technology, Firewalls, VPNs, datacentres, load balancing, and centralized monitoring systems. Your responsibilities will involve translating complex technical issues into accessible terms and creating scalable, adaptable solutions to ensure the highest service levels for both internal and external stakeholders. Your Background 5+ years in digital & IT operations in a large organisation 5+ years in operational infrastructure tech, covering network infrastructure, server/cloud solutions, Firewall/security, VPN, remote access, and centralized management platforms. Proven solution architecture experience, ideally within Microsoft Azure-based cloud solutions. 3+ years in enterprise architecture, with strengths in presentation, design, and documentation. Some project management experience (1+ years) and a basic grounding in data protection and information security. Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Your Skills and Personal Qualities Excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with people at all levels. Strong decision-maker with a problem-solving mindset. Proactive, committed, and reliable, with a drive to succeed and adapt to new challenges. Dedicated to continuous learning and personal growth.
