The Role The purpose of the role is to head up a small client facing function (leading a team of 2). Someone will need to have strong experience troubleshooting Windows Servers, but some knowledge of Linux would be beneficial and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) would be a massive bonus too. They are looking for a SysAdmin that has experience of working on prem and in the cloud. In an ideal world, you'll have experience of Windows, Linux and AWS although if someone has Azure or GCP experience and is willing to cross-train, that could work. You'll be responsible of leading a couple of people as well, so prior experience of this would be ideal. This role is also customer facing, so they are looking for someone that has prior experience of this or at least comfortable doing this. The company are based on the outskirts of Manchester and have a hybrid working policy. They'd expect you to be in the office once per week or once a fortnight. A World-Class technology company founded in Edinburgh are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer , ideally with a good background in React, to join one of their core squads. You'll be tasked with developing the front of the core platform using React . The team right now are focusing on scaling and modernising their products so any experience with working to scale and AWS would be desirable for this role. You'll also be tasked with helping get the more Junior members of the team up to speed so coaching and mentoring experience is desirable. You'll also be contributing to design meetings and leading feature work so they're hoping you're at the level where you feel comfortable doing this independently. The have one code base for the product you'd be working on which includes the following tech: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, Java, Spring, AWS and more . They're looking for someone that is an expert Front End Developer that has lots of commercial experience with React. Head of Professional Services required to join a SaaS software company based from anywhere across Scotland or the North of England. The company They are headquartered up in Aberdeen, however also have an office in Glasgow. The business creates a very specific type of software (SaaS) in the food and drink industry and are the market leader in their field. They currently have a team of 12 across the software function, with around 28 across the business, and are looking to add a Professional Services Manager as a brand-new hire, purely down to growth of the business. This will be a potentially international role, with occasional travel to client sites in both Scotland and potentially oversees. The business has a global reach and have continued to gain recognition. In part, the role will involve travel to different parts of Scotland, so you can be based from anywhere in Scotland effectively. You will need to hold a UK driving licence and ideally have a car too. On top of the salary, you can also expect to receive a discretionary bonus and car allowance in this role, as well as a healthy overall benefits package. The role This is a leadership level role and you will be working very closely alongside the most senior member of the business (MD). The company are currently building out their leadership team and you will be a key hire for them. In this role, you will be the escalation point for major account queries and will be working very closely alongside a close-knit software team. You will have three direct reports who will be geographically dispersed across Scotland, so being comfortable with this is key. These consist of 1 Senior Implementation Consult, and 2 more junior Implementation Consultants. As previously mentioned, there will be elements of travel involved in this role however this is a remote first role, with the only requirement to be in office about once a quarter. This position can be split into three key areas; people management (as above), Project Management and delivery and lastly, strategy. This role will have strong elements of Project Management and you will need to ensure projects are appropriately planned and managed to ensure on time and on budget completion. You will additionally need to be proactive in communication with customers, arranging regular calls/site visits to build strong relationships. This individual will most likely have a Professional Services background, ideally having worked for some sort of SaaS, ERP or software organisation and have dealt with software implementations . As this is a senior leadership role, you will have a lot of scope to make changes and ultimately have lots of autonomy.
