Job title: Electrical Equipment Engineer Lead

iO Associates are seeking for a Lead Electrical Equipment Engineer on behalf of a wonderful engineering consultancy based in Bristol. The company operates in the civil engineering space, working with leading organisations to ensure projects are completed successfully and on time. In this instance, it's working with the Hinkley Point Nuclear site.

In order to guarantee that the equipment can be commissioned without causing delays to the schedule, they are seeking a Lead Electrical Equipment Engineer that can assist with electrical equipment design, engineering, manufacture, and installs in addition to possessing strong project management abilities. Although this job is mostly focused on electrical engineering, it may also touch on mechanical and instrumentation and control issues.

Required:

• A degree in a technical field related to the field (eg, physics, math, engineering).
• Extensive background in the nuclear sector, particularly familiarity with nuclear safety matters.
• Experience in all phases of a project's lifespan, including design, production, installation, commissioning, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Creating the plan for on-site electrical equipment changes
• Creating a thorough risk analysis of the electrical contracts and related instrumentation portfolio.
• Oversee the delivery of engineering services for HPC projects, concentrating on value engineering and optimisation to produce acceptable technical results.
• To maximise delivery efficiency and value, collaborate with the technical teams and programme teams on emerging scope topics and priority.
