The mission:

• Lead a team of engineers to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and exceeding performance targets.
• Manage resources, schedules, technical achievements, and risks to ensure a smooth and successful execution.
• Possess a strong understanding of the "big picture" and how your projects align with the company's overall goals.
• Foster collaboration across the company by working with other project leads to leverage combined capabilities.
• Regularly report project progress, potential risks, and achievements to company management.
• Contribute your technical skills in relevant areas (eg, mechanical design, electrical design, thermal analysis) to directly support project success.
• Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to your engineering team, especially junior members, to help them grow their skills.
• Develop clear and concise documentation to support design decisions, address issues, and prepare presentations for design reviews.
• Lead technical discussions and program reviews both internally and with clients.
• Contribute to customer proposals by estimating costs and outlining project tasks.
• Support recruiting efforts to ensure sufficient and qualified engineering resources are available for technical projects.

Your profile:

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience, including involvement in complex systems projects.
• Demonstrate a strong desire to understand and solve intricate engineering challenges.
• Possess the ability to visualize components and systems both mentally and through drawings or CAD software.
• Prior experience leading small engineering teams or projects.
• Experience as a Design Lead within a larger team is a plus.
• Communication Excellence: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Possess experience with lightweight aerostructures (a plus).
• Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard design software, preferably Siemens NX or CATIA.
• Have some experience using analytical software like FEM applications or MATLAB.
• Demonstrate a practical understanding of composite manufacturing techniques.
