Backend Engineer vacancy requiring profound Python and Workflow Management knowledge for a globally operating Basel based company in the pharmaceutical sector.

Your tasks:

• Performing Back End implementation and integrating with other components provided by teammates
• Delivering solutions to identify hits in large libraries of samples from testing in cellular assays or with help of DNA-encoded library technologies at any scale to support scientists
• Developing software for streamlining scientific processes and workflows thinking start to end
• Capturing and processing raw data, metadata and derived data generated by instruments during screening or obtained from intermediate analyse
• Using and leveraging leading edge architecture and software technologies
• Combining use-case specific applications with optimized technical Back End platforms

Your experience/knowledge:

• Expertise in Python with a focus on workflow management systems and DAG development with Apache Airflow
• Well-versed with the AWS stack, especially non-SQL high performance stores
• A thorough understanding of KV-stores, wide-column stores or graphs is beneficial
• Ability to manage concurrent tasks on a large scale
• Degree in a suitable field or comparable experience
• Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken
