Backend Engineer vacancy requiring profound Python and ORM knowledge for a globally operating Basel based company in the pharmaceutical sector.

Your tasks:

• Performing Back End implementation and integrating with other components provided by teammates
• Delivering solutions to identify hits in large libraries of samples from testing in cellular assays or with help of DNA-encoded library technologies at any scale to support scientists
• Developing software for streamlining scientific processes and workflows thinking start to end
• Capturing and processing raw data, metadata and derived data generated by instruments during screening or obtained from intermediate analyse
• Using and leveraging leading edge architecture and software technologies
• Combining use-case specific applications with optimized technical Back End platforms

Your experience/knowledge:

• Expertise in Python core Back End with Numpy and Pandas
• Proficiency in ORM such as SQLAlchemy for system integration
• A thorough understanding of Dask is beneficial
• Degree in a suitable field or comparable experience
• Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken

Your soft skills:

• Proactive team player with good communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented way of working
