We have an opportunity for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our growing IT team based at our head office in Walsall.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the availability of infrastructure and applications ensuring Dignus staff operate safely and effectively from an IT perspective.
To achieve that, the IT Support Specialist will participate in several deliverables:
Manage IT Incidents and Requests
Deliver IT Projects
Deliver the IT Induction to management level staff
Keep abreast of technological advancements where appropriate to the role
Manage supplier relationships and perform regular service reviews
Manage IT Incidents and Requests
Alongside colleagues in the team, work to manage IT incidents and requests relating to our infrastructure and applications.
Deliver on IT Projects
Each member of the Team owns their own IT projects. These are typically relatively small projects but generally focus around improving processes, security or technological enhancements.
The business has strong growth ambitions and is on target to open several new services per year. The IT team manage the installation of all IT services into a new location.
Deliver the IT Induction to management level staff
You will be required to deliver the IT induction for certain roles within the business. The induction ensures the new starter has the right access to applications, understands how to get help and support and receives an overview of core systems.
Keep abreast of technological advancements where appropriate to the role
Dignus utilise M365 premium subscriptions. There's a lot of technology available within M365 including Security and Compliance tools. The team are encouraged to learn new skills relating to new technology that helps keep data safe and secure whilst giving staff the right tools for the job.
Manage supplier relationships and perform regular service reviews
Many of our application providers support their platforms with our users directly accessing supplier support resources. However, we need to meet with our suppliers regularly to conduct service and performance reviews. Also, in the IT Team we own certain applications and ensure compliance is managed and any updates are delivered safely.

Help deliver new application projects into the business
Perform IT Inductions with new staff
Contribute to knowledgebase on SharePoint
Provide an overview to new staff in the correct use of applications
Compliance - Ensuring all products are patched up to date, in support and secure in line with supplier recommendations
Participate in change/implementation planning
Own Incidents and requests
Strong focus on customer satisfaction
Contribute to Application and Infrastructure risk Register
Manage configuration of mobile devices (Nourish and other apps)
Manage telephony platform
Be key contact and assist in management of IT application support partners
Represent Dignus at service reviews.
Have good hands-on knowledge of typical applications in use in the infrastructure space (Exchange Online, Defender, One Drive, Web Content filtering etc).
Arrange and oversee broadband and telephony installations for services (Currently BT Broadband, BT One Phone).
Asset Management - Order new devices for staff (Laptops, Mobile devices, SIP phones)
Help to improve support processes identifying gaps and problems.
Visit service locations to assist in delivery/oversee setup of technology (Ubiquity, Broadband, SIP phone, shift clocking terminals).
Understand Firewall principles and configuration (Watchguard)
