Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer Location: Farnborough with hybrid working. Develop electronic sub-system solutions as part of an overall system that may include optics, mechanics, and software. Develop test strategies and document findings for both electronic aspects and entire systems/products. Support manufacturing and other departments during development and production phases. Manage all aspects of the product life cycle from conception to end-of-life, including manufacturing support. Liaise with suppliers such as layout specialists and CMOs. Perform additional tasks as identified by the Head of Hardware. Qualifications Degree level or equivalent in Electronic Engineering. Demonstrable practical design and construction experience. Skills and Experience Competent in both analogue and digital electronics engineering. Experience in photonics systems development is highly desirable but not essential. Proficient in ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout. Skilled in circuit simulation and prototype building using through-hole or SMD technology. Proficient in MS Office tools such as Word and Excel. Ability to program microcontrollers and experience with Assembler, C, or similar languages. Knowledge of programmable logic is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and the company QMS is desirable. Ability to produce high-quality engineering documentation. Experience in the defence/aerospace sector is desirable but not essential. Qualities Proactive and initiative-driven. Clear and concise communicator, both verbally and in writing.
