Senior Data Engineer Role

The Senior Data Engineer will significantly contribute to delivering solutions for clients in various sectors, including energy, public services, and E-commerce. This role involves addressing complex challenges, driving business innovation, and achieving optimal results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Interaction: Engages with clients across multiple industries to understand their needs, provide expertise, and implement effective data solutions.
• Team Leadership: Mentors colleagues, scopes projects, collaborates with senior engineers, guides junior and mid-level engineers, conducts training sessions, and participates in internal projects.
• Project Management: Oversees projects from start to finish, ensuring clear communication with non-technical stakeholders and delivering custom data solutions for analysis and machine learning.
• Expertise Development: Keeps abreast of the latest technologies and applies this knowledge in both external consulting projects and internal initiatives.

Specific Deliverables:

• Manages end-to-end data engineering projects, fostering team collaboration and ensuring effective communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Designs and implements ETL processes, maintains data quality, models data, and develops tailored data solutions.
• Operates across various cloud environments and complex IT landscapes, utilising tools like Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT.

Internal and External Roles:

• Externally: Serves as a consultant, leads data engineering projects, designs data solutions, communicates with stakeholders, and ensures project value.
• Internally: Contributes to the company's Data Platforms strategy, leads internal projects, provides training, guides junior and mid-level engineers, and defines projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Possesses a minimum of four years in a similar role with strong proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with one or more cloud platforms, with a minimum of three years specifically in Microsoft Azure.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrates expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, Cloud Solution Design, Data Platforms, and Security by Design.
• Tools: Skilled in using Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT.
• Communication: Excels in both written and spoken communication in Dutch and English.
• Personal Attributes: Shows a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, takes ownership of projects, and adapts quickly to new technologies and environment
