Head of Cloud Strategy and Architecture Nottingham Competitive Salary VIQU have partnered with a well-known brand who are seeking a Head of Cloud Strategy and Architecture to join them in their Head Office in Nottingham. The Head of Cloud Strategy and Architecture will join their expanding team of IT professionals to challenge how the cloud is used and improve the wider business utilise cloud capabilities. The role with have a focus of setting up the cloud centre of excellence and aim to build a team with the focus of working to architect development strategies that will enhance the capabilities of automation, AI and support the overall services that the team will manage. Responsibilities of the Head of Cloud Strategy and Architecture: Challenge the current norm way of traditional on-prem thinking and strategies to improve the cloud capabilities. Develop well architected cloud solutions, optimized for cost, operations, performance, reliability and security. Develop the cloud strategy along with the introduction of new technologies and public cloud services, cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring strategies Design target state Cloud Architecture, partnering with other areas, such as Cloud Network Architects, Cloud Solution Architects, Cloud Security Architects, and Cloud Engineering and Development teams. Requirements of the Head of Cloud Strategy and Architecture: Strong background of Azure Cloud, architecture and strategy Experience with different enterprise applications and IT services, and software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines. Experience with application and infrastructure cloud migrations, from on-premises-to-cloud, and from cloud-to-cloud. Experience with Azure public cloud architecture, Cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns/tools and/or experience re-architecting applications for cloud platforms. Experience of leading Enterprise Cloud Strategies to ensure the Cloud team develops the right services to support the wider IT strategy. Knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud cost models and cloud operations with experience suggesting improvements.
