Senior IP Network Engineer - Singapore

Multinational telecoms giant require a Senior IP Network Engineer to work out of their Singapore office.

We require adept Senior IP Network Engineer to take on a Technical Lead role within our Tier 1 IP backbone engineering team. This position demands an individual with deep technical expertise in IP network engineering, encompassing BGP and ISIS protocols, DDoS mitigation strategies, and L3 MPLS VPN configurations. A CCIE certification is highly prized, signifying top-tier proficiency in the technical aspects of IP Networking.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Design: Architect and implement sophisticated IP Networking solutions, ensuring our Tier 1 IP backbone operates at optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

Protocol Specialist: Serve as the technical expert in BGP and ISIS routing protocols, driving technical improvements and optimizations within our routing infrastructure.

Security Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute advanced DDoS mitigation tactics to fortify network security and ensure infrastructure resilience.

MPLS VPN Configuration: Engineer and oversee L3 MPLS VPN architectures, tailoring solutions to meet specific customer requirements while enhancing network service offerings.

Complex Problem Resolution: Lead in troubleshooting complex network issues, employing advanced diagnostic techniques to ensure quick resolutions and minimal operational impact.

Technical Escalation Point: Act as the primary escalation point for high-level technical challenges, providing guidance and solutions to the engineering team.

Industry Technical Representation: Represent the organization at technical forums and discussions within the industry, sharing insights and innovations in IP Networking.

Continuous Technical Enhancement: Stay at the forefront of IP Networking technologies and practices, continuously updating and expanding technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• CCIE certification preferred, or demonstrable high-level expertise in IP network engineering.
• Extensive experience with BGP and ISIS, showcasing a strong capability in applying these protocols in a large-scale network environment.
• In-depth knowledge of network security practices, particularly in DDoS attack mitigation, and the ability to implement comprehensive security strategies.
• Proficiency in the engineering and management of L3 MPLS VPNs, demonstrating the ability to deliver scalable and secure network solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving complex network issues efficiently.
• Excellent technical communication skills, capable of articulating complex networking concepts to peers and contributing to technical discussions within the industry.

This is a technically challenging role within a Tier 1 IP backbone, providing the opportunity to work with the latest in IP Networking technologies and practices.

The salary is up to SGD 140,000 + package and the location is Singapore
