A leading insurance company in London is seeking an experienced Full Stack Python Developer for a hybrid contract role. The role requires expertise in Python for Back End development and React with TypeScript for Front End development. You will be working on full-stack applications to support key business functions, ensuring scalability and reliability in a data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Python and React with TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and Back End services using Python frameworks like Flask or Django.
  • Develop rich, interactive, and responsive Front End applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Front End and Back End components.
  • Optimize code for performance and scalability, especially for data-heavy insurance applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and other technical teams to deploy applications in a cloud environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in Back End development using Python with frameworks like Django or Flask.
  • Proficient Front End development skills using React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Full stack development experience, with an ability to switch between Front End and Back End tasks.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (eg, AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Solid communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in agile teams.
