Role: REMOTE DevOps Engineer (Senior DevOps Engineer SRE Site Reliability Engineer Java Python Automation Data Lake Datalake Data Mesh CI/CD Kafka Big Data AWS SQL Finance Trading Contract Contractor Consultant Financial Services Banking Remote Working Trading Cloud Projects Ireland Dublin Banking) required by our financial services client in Dublin, Ireland. You will join a central data engineering team of 8 that are working on a project to migrate their AWS based data lake to a data mesh architecture. You will join two other DevOps Engineers and be tasked, over the next 12-24 months, with helping to build the greenfield automation environment for their new data mesh set up. You will also work to modernize the existing data platform and the automation required for that. That will mean setting up Terraform and EKS. To build the environment for the data mesh, you will be working with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Terraform, GitLab and GitHub Actions. For this role, you will need to have worked in a large enterprise environment. If you have also worked in a very data intensive environment, that would be beneficial but is not essential. You will need to come with good AWS, including EKS, Scripting, Terraform and Docker. Any additional overlap is desirable.
This role is 100% remote but you will need to work roughly around Irish/UK hours. You will also have to be based in Ireland. This will likely begin as a 12 month contract and continue long-term.
