InfoSec Development Engineer, Banking, Freelance (6 month rolling), ~€300 (negotiable), Remote

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and test the integration of a Vulnerability and Compliance Scanner with a Workflow System.
• Document developed code to comply with internal and regulatory standards.
• Integrate various security data streams into the workflow and tracking system.
• Act as a test engineer, ensuring code is thoroughly tested and creating unit tests prior to module development.
• Evaluate, discuss, and implement new software solutions to achieve organizational goals.
• Troubleshoot and debug across multiple systems and technologies.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python 3 (knowledge of Groovy, Java, or Go is a plus).
• Strong unit testing and test-driven development skills.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Proficient in SQL databases (PostgreSQL and MS SQL).
• Ability to understand and modify existing codebases.
• Familiarity with software design patterns.
• Knowledge of agile software development life cycles.
• Experience with workflow tools, preferably Atlassian Jira.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub (or similar) for repository management, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Comfortable working with Linux and Windows systems, including command line shells.
• Expertise in Security by Design and security best practices.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
