SAP EWM Project Manager - Extended Warehouse Management

We are supporting a global organisation

This is 15 months initially, with a view to extend.

This is mainly remote with some travel for meetings.

The daily rate is negotiable.

You must have extensive SAP Extended Warehouse Management experience to be considered for this role.
Role:I am after an experienced Full time senior IT Project Manager focused in SAP EWM and proprietary warehouse control systems.

The project manager will oversee the delivery tasks from demand through to deployment in alignment with the Project Management Office guidelines and to that of our Quality Assurance team; utilizing external and internal resources to deliver within agreed budget.
The Project Manager will ensure the processes that enable provisioning, access, monitoring, and development within SAP and associated systems and that these enhancements are documented and followed by the various teams associated with the project.

Project statusThe project manager will lead a team of internal and external Resources, consisting of delivery owners, business analysts, functional experts, developers, Integration and test management; who work with our integration partner and our business operational experts; they will also be supported with our PMO team.

The scope of phase 2 is under review to lock down the development scope for Australia, with further planning required to ascertain the New Zealand scope, that will also touch transport management solutions.
Overall timelines are linked specifically to our proprietary warehouse automation project being completed by 2 external partners, this project is upgrading the Warehouse Control Systems to interface to EWM.
We intend to agree a SOW with our integration partner for the EWM scope, development, test and deployment elements by end of October; this is on-going work.

The PM will need to come in to the project and start running immediately with the current team.

Experience and skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project management implementing complex solutions in the supply chain environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work positively with the wide range of stakeholders involved the program.
  • Ability to manage international cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Adaptive to the culture of our company.
  • Ability to plan, run, review and course correct a complex project with multiple stakeholders
  • Good knowledge and handling of project management methodology and techniques.
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic person, who will drive our project forward.
  • Experience in implementation of Warehouse Management solutions along with understanding the key processes and related activities.
  • Fluent in English.
