Our manufacturing client in Northeast Ohio is seeking candidates for a Scale House Attendant. The position's main responsibilities are to interface with retail customers, perform transactional entries, and facilitate incoming/outgoing traffic communication and activities.

This is a first shift position with the following responsibilities:

  • Gate keeper of the facility, ensure all trucks that enter are weighed in and out, and have the correct documents
  • Perform retail sales; accurately record all cash and credit card sales transactions
  • Confirm shipping process in ERP-system
  • Enter orders and required information into computer system
  • Document fuel pump activity
  • Provide truck specific routes to delivery locations as requested by carries and assist customer service with product and location/direction related questions
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) files
  • Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the Scale House Building
  • Secure the property at the end of the day

Successful candidates should have:

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Prior Scale House experience preferred
  • Will consider a combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and complete project-related work in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate with customers, vendors, and employees in a courteous, professional manner
  • Willingness and ability to perform data entry functions on the company's computer systems
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical equations and problem solve
  • May be required to work on short notice and be available via cell phone
  • Ability to operate tow motor and other off-road equipment where a CDL is not required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insured through the company's provider
  • Ability to lift 25-80 lbs., climb ladders and platforms, and communicate with others in writing, in person, and via telephone
