Senior Cloud Architect - Azure and GCP - Financial Services - TAX

Senior Cloud Architect - Azure and GCP required to oversee the Cloud domain and play a strategic role in designing and maintaining all cloud systems and services for a large financial services/asset management firm.

This exciting professional opportunity offers a tax-free annual salary of circa £100-140k plus excellent benefits, including relocation, accommodation, utility and travel allowances. The client will arrange all necessary working permits but a degree is a mandatory requirement for the work permit. This is an English-speaking environment and preference will be given to candidates whose first language is English.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in cloud computing (eg, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).

Minimum Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on hybrid solutions, working with multiple hyperscalers.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms - Azure and GCP/Google Cloud Platform is essential, AWS nice to have.
  • Expertise in cloud automation tools - Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Strong background in automation, Scripting and programming languages - Python and PowerShell.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools - Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines - Jenkins and GitLab).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Chaos Engineering tools is nice to have.
  • Understanding of network architecture and security protocols in cloud environments.
  • Experience with cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
  • Strong understanding of systems planning methodologies, security principles, and the implementation of software management best practices to ensure robust and secure IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies. Ensuring cloud architectures are resilient and can recover quickly from outages or data loss.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
