Role: Monitoring & Backup Engineer

Salary: Negotiable - dependent on experience

Location: Northampton (On-site for probation - hybrid thereafter)

We are working with a large-scale IT Services provider, based in Northampton, who require a strong, all-round Monitoring & Backup Engineer to join an expanding and busy team! You will be the face of and manage the day to day running Monitoring & Backup elements, and your remit will be all things relating to supporting the Monitoring, Backups and Alerts. Alerts could range from Servers, failed drives, Security products. You will be great with customers, have a personable nature and be confident and comfortable going to customer site when required. The client also has a couple of exciting ongoing projects that you will be able to support on, working with different people within the internal IT team to support on Integration projects. This will be in addition to your day to day role.

Skills and experience required:

• Excellent Monitoring & Backup experience
• Experience working with Veeam (used by multiple of the client's customers)
• Proficient with the supporting of alerts
• Excellent knowledge of monitoring tools (DattoRMM, Enable, LogicMonitor, Solarwinds)
• Any experience with Backup Radar would be highly advantageous

Please note, this role will be full time on-site for the first 3 months (probation period) and will then become a hybrid working environment, with an expectation to be customer facing and meet customers on site. Please consider this when applying for the role.
