Key Requirements:

Architecture delivery

  • Design of technical architecture for digital services deployed onto AWS
  • Implementation of best practice engineering principles (Unit testing, test automation, application of SOLID principles, Agile methods and continuous improvement)
  • Adherence to, and upholding of established standards including GOV.UK Technology Code of Practice, NCSC Guidelines/Secure by Design principles, GOV.UK Design System and ISO27001 information security standards.

Leadership

  • Implementation and advocacy of Agile methods (predominantly Scrum)
  • Technical leadership of developers and development teams
  • Management of teams and individuals (within your team and within a Matrix management structure)
  • Communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Production and presentation of architecture documentation to senior stakeholders, approvals boards and other stakeholders.

Relevant Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant training, qualifications and experience in software development practices (Apprenticeship/Degree/Masters etc)
  • AWS Cloud Architecture and application level architecture design
  • SOLID principles and concrete understanding of design patterns
  • Proficiency in C# programming language and .NET framework.
  • MVC Frameworks (Spring MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC or similar
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (eg, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (eg, Entity Framework).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience with Front End technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with version control systems (eg, Git is preferred).

Nice-to-Have:

  • GDS experience.

Our Selection Process:

After applying, our in-house talent team will introduce Triad, discuss the role, and gather basic information. If shortlisted, you'll have an interview with a senior member of Triad staff to explore mutual cultural fit and give you an opportunity to ask questions. Following that you will be invited to attend a final stage 'technical' based interview with a member of the Triad team.
