PeopleSoft Consultant - Lease Administration Implementation

Short-term remote/hybrid contract

Our client, a specialised financial institution and UN agency is seeking a PeopleSoft Consultant to join their Global team. The project aims to implement a technical solution within Peoplesoft financials by adopting the Lease Management module, ensuring that lease management is Embedded within the existing financial architecture. This solution will help the client manage leases more efficiently and reduce the risk of calculation errors, which could impact the organization's clean audit opinion.

The implementation plan involves collaboration between various departments and using a tool to calculate the contract value of leases, depreciation, and internal rate of return. Overall, the project is expected to streamline lease accounting processes and provide more reliable financial information for decision-making

Duties and responsibilities

Under the general supervision and technical coordination of the ICT Solutions Coordinator, and as part of the ERP Solutions team, the vendor will provide technical support for the implementation of the Peoplesoft lease module.

The following modules will be the primary focus of the support work:

• Lease management/Lease Administration
• Asset management
• General Ledger

Detailed tasks description

1. Implement the Peoplesoft lease administration module. It needs to be ensured that the management of leases will be Embedded within the existing Peoplesoft finance architecture.
2. Provide support to ICT, accounts and ADM divisions for the successful achievement of the project objectives.
3. Provide user support for technical issues in PeopleSoft Financials through an internal ticketing system. Tickets must be managed to ensure that users are informed of progress or need for feedback.
4. Debug issues to identify causes and provide solutions on how to resolve
5. Develop technical solutions for user issues, including updates to Peoplecode, SQL scripts or other scripts to resolve data issues, updates or amendments to workflow.
6. Resolve performance issues in processes by identifying bottlenecks and developing remediations
7. Prepare projects and accompanying documentation for the PeopleSoft support team to migrate the project to production.
8. Support the application of patches and testing post-application
9. Comply with requirement procedures and policies, in particular those on security and updates on or migrations to Production systems

Technical Requirements:

SimCorp Dimension Functional Expertise: In-depth understanding of SimCorp Dimension's functional modules, such as Portfolio Management, Fund Accounting, Cash Management, Corporate Actions, or Performance Measurement.

Business Process Knowledge: Familiarity with front-to-Back Office workflows in asset management, investment banking, or insurance, and the ability to map business processes to SimCorp Dimension's functionality.

Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse business needs, and translate them into functional specifications or configuration changes.

System Configuration and Testing: Hands-on experience in configuring SimCorp Dimension to meet business requirements, including performing unit testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and resolving functional discrepancies.

Reporting and Documentation: Proficiency in generating reports using Simcorp's reporting tools and preparing comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, test cases, and user guides.
