Linux Engineer - SC Cleared

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Linux Engineer on a hybrid based in Barrow in Furness.

This role requires the use of an FCSA umbrella company.

Role Description:

Suitable Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 9 and secure network architecture and software development environments. Expertise for implementing LDAP, SELinux, Splunk, RDP or VNC, Eclipse C++ Development IDE & plugins, anti-malware tools, configuring switch/Firewall/NAS and other network devices, setup of RHEL subscription and update services, all within a secure NIST based framework.

The task package requires the derivation of detailed use cases and design from the high level use cases/requirements and design, and implementation and test of the local development environment including integration with the corporate restricted network, interface and services, along with local network maintenance instructions. Documentary output deliverables will be required to complete these tasks.

Work will be carried out predominantly on-site with option for home working on documentation-only tasks at the discretion of the Manager.
