One of the most exciting projects in the UK is looking for senior mechanical engineers to work on a remote basis to support the engineering capability on a large scale defence and nuclear project

• Job title - Senior Mechanical Engineer
• Location - Remote
• Contract Length - 12 Months
• Pay Rate - £45 - £60 an hour (INSIDE IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the execution of engineering and technical tasks, ensuring adherence to processes and leveraging your domain expertise.
• Review, approve, and produce technical reports, designs, calculations, and other essential documentation as required.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with both existing and new clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Ensure all engineering and technical activities comply with relevant procedures, codes, and standards.
• Contribute to safety assessments, identifying risks and ensuring their proper management across projects.
• Communicate and manage task and project risks appropriately to mitigate potential issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A minimum of an HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent experience) with significant hands-on experience in the relevant field.
• While nuclear experience is not mandatory, candidates from various engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply but candidates with nuclear experience will be favoured.
• Experience working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to complete projects of varying complexity.
• Demonstrable experience handling a wide range of tasks across different project types.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with different disciplines and stakeholders.
