Job Summary: Provide technical support in the Engineering Services department for the Salem Power Uprate Project. The successful candidate will perform the duties as a System/Commissioning Engineer for the power uprate for Salem Units 1 and 2. The engineer is responsible for sponsoring and implementing power uprate modifications. Job Responsibilities: • Assess the required scope of work and explore various alternative solutions for required modifications. • Sponsor and guide plant modifications through the approval process. • Fulfill the role of the system lead engineer for modifications. • Ensure proper systems integration and act as the subject matter expert for plant systems. • Support changes to the Preventive maintenance and Surveillance Program. • Identify Critical Spare parts. • Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes. • Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing. • Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals. • Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification. • Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis. • Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Electrical Design Engineering Manager. • Participate in the Emergency Response Organization. Job Specific Qualifications Required: • BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Controls or related Engineering or related technical degree. • 13 years of experience performing Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in controls system engineering. • Experience with power plant infrastructure facilities, power distribution. • Experience with level and flow systems. • Must have Westinghouse or Emerson controls systems experience. • Availability for shift work during installation. • Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access. • Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
