They've been operating very successfully for several years now and they offer an award winning service that helps thousands of people every day - this is a great opportunity to work on a series of products that benefits so many throughout the UK. You'd be initially joining a small Agile squad of roughly four Software Engineers, but the organisation has really ambitious plans , as they're looking to really grow this team over the next year or so, it's genuinely a really exciting to join , with lots happening. The work with a really modern tech stack; Java17, SpringBoot, Microservices, AWS, ReactJS + TypeScript and although experience with all of this is great, the organisation are much more interested in collaborative Engineers that can bring strong soft skills to the team, so have some flexibility around tech. Additionally, they place a really big importance on following best practices and software fundamentals and are looking for Engineers that have worked in a similar style of environment before. Equally they're very big on testing , where you'd be regularly involved in Automation testing and TDD - so are looking for Engineers with this mindset/experience. You'll ideally have experience with most of the following; * Java (ideally SpringBoot) * Microservices * HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ideally ReactJS + TypeScript) * Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, GPS, OpenShift) Experience with the following is highly desirable; * DevOps; Docker and Kubernetes * Project Leadership This opportunity would be ideal for an ambitious Software Engineer that is looking for a collaborative environment where they could get really involved in projects end to end, suggest new and different technologies and stay up to date with the latest tech. Additionally due to the accelerated growth of the organisation, there will be lots of opportunity for career progression pretty early on if you were to impress. Their offices are based just on the outskirts of Edinburgh , just walking distance from a tram stop, train station and they have free parking available onsite. They do support hybrid working here, where you'll be expected onsite three days per week , for collaboration time with the team. In return they're able to offer a salary from £45k to £75k based on experience with a strong benefits package to match, which includes (35 hour working week, Private healthcare, 15% pension, Annual bonus, 28 days holiday + bank and much more).
